ABOUT MR. JOSEPH 

Mr. Joseph Taylor-Thomas is the Ag. Director of Information Technology of the Social Security and Housing Finance Corporation (SSHFC). His journey with the Corporation started in 1992 as a records clerk briefly with the Social Security Department before transitioning to the Information Technology Department as a database administrator before progressing over the years to the position of information technology manager and then senior information technology manager before assuming the role of Head of the Department.

His first Degree in Computing was gained from the University of Wales Newport and he has recently validated his extensive experience by attaining a master’s degree in information technology from the University of Cumbria in 2024. Mr. Taylor- Thomas also holds a Higher National Diploma from the Institute of Management Information Systems and a Diploma in Data processing from the University of Sierra Leone. He also holds several Microsoft certifications including the MCSA and MCSE. He is a professional member of the British Computer Society and has over 25 years of Information Technology experience under his belt.

He is taking over the mantle of Information Technology leadership at the SSHFC, bringing to the role his vast experience which he acquired over the years across all levels of the department.
