GOVERNANCE
The Board of Directors are ultimately responsible for the Corporation, its assets and activities. They have a wide range of experience and skills which enable them to undertake the responsibilities of directorship of a large and complex organisation like SSHFC. Some of the work of the Board is delegated to its sub-committees, namely:
- The Social Security Committee oversees the administration of the Social Security Funds and risk exposures.
- The Housing Finance Committee oversees the administration of the Housing Fund and risk exposures.
- The Audit and Finance Committee oversees the corporation's financial reporting and audit processes, the management of its finances, its internal controls system, and SSHFC's compliance with laws and regulations.
- The Corporate Affairs, HR and Admin Committee serves as a strategic governance body, offering expert guidance and support to these departments, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and driving excellence in their operations.
The relationship between these committees is one of collaboration to achieve the long-term objectives of the Corporation.
